You stand inside the King's Cave facing west toward the back of the cave. To the north is Sarafina's spot, and to the south is Uzuri's spot. Further in are other lions. In fact, you see around you eyes glowing green in the light from the mouth of the cave. They are curious about the strange visitor and want to meet you.
