LIMERICKS BY DAVE BRAUN -------------------------------------------- There once was a king mighty swell whose brother was jealous and fell. Through murderous plot his sib stole the lot but sure didn't run things as well! The air was so hot you could bake a two-layer angel-food cake! Yet Simba did race into this sere place his three spotted chasers to shake. To Zazu's irk, Mufasa bids he babysit the rotten kids and in a rash vindictive flash he wishes they'd succumbed to SIDS. Though Simba would deke, and would duck, with Nala, he never had luck! T'is she who would pin, to Simba's chagrin, and in his disgrace, he'd shout "darn!" A lioness silken and tan - as sweet as a quadruped can be - though she's a 'toon can still draw a swoon from any libidinous man! A young and naive lion cub was munching a nice juicy grub when Pumbaa walked past and Simba got gassed and puked up his meal in the scrub. Mufasa once counseled his son of shadowy lands he should shun. The cub disobeyed. With Nala he strayed into that fell fortress of dun. There once was a lion quite vile who lived in a state of denial. He pilfered the throne, and called it his own, through subterfuge, murder and wile. Sarabi, the queen of the pride stood proudly by Mufasa's side but fortune smiled fair - she wasn't right there the day he was trampled, and died. The girl named Rocio is wild! She keeps the whole channel beguiled. But oddly she'll swoon o'er just a balloon. Just mention one and she gets riled!
